Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury

Game Boy Advance · 2026

An early GBARecomp build with adaptive widescreen and an edge-anchored HUD.

Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury is an early GBARecomp project.

Its widescreen mode does the important part correctly: it shows more of the authored world at the sides instead of stretching the picture.

Playable status

Yes, as an experimental preview. Windows builds are on the GitHub releases page. The game runs from dumps you provide: your own USA ROM and a legally obtained GBA BIOS.

It boots through its attract sequence into gameplay. The full game has not been exhaustively tested.

What the recomp adds

Adaptive widescreen expands the HUD and overworld as the window is resized. It streams more field content and widens actor visibility rather than stretching the image.

Camera and world coordinates stay untouched, and the HUD anchors to the screen edges so the interface sits where you expect it.
